Terms and Conditions of Membership

Eligibility

  • You work in the resources sector* in Australia.
  • Support provided through Miners’ Promise also extends to your immediate family members.

*Refers to all organisations either directly or indirectly associated with mining and construction industries in Australia. This includes office staff whether at an operating work site or at a head office location away from an operating work site.

Cancellation of membership

Cancellations must be received in writing to info@minerspromise.org.au. Payments already received are non-refundable. This process is usually complete within 7 days.

Transferring your membership

You may transfer your membership to your spouse or de facto partner, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria and continue regular payment.

Changing and updating details

Ensuring we have the most current contact details is your (the member’s) responsibility.

Only a person named as “the member”, or an authorised party is able to request a change to member’s details.

Increase in membership fees

Written notice will be provided to the last known address in the event that an increase in the membership fee is deemed appropriate by the Board. If no response is received, this will be deemed as accepting the increase.

Corporate communications

If you have nominated an email address or other electronic means as part of your application, we may use that email to send electronic communications including newsletters and to inform you of new benefits from time to time.

Generally, you will be emailed a link to a secure website to view or download your documents, quickly and easily.

Engaging Miners’ Promise Professional Partners

Any engagement, by a member, of a Miners’ Promise professional partner is done so under the professional partner’s own cost structure and terms & conditions.

You are therefore responsible for sourcing and reviewing those cost and terms & conditions to ensure your own satisfaction prior to their engagement. Any costs associated with engaging a professional partner recommended by Miners’ Promise is at your own cost.

For contributions made via salary deduction

By becoming a part of Miners’ Promise, you duly authorise your employer to pass on personal contact details relevant to joining Miners’ Promise. This arrangement shall remain in force for the term of your involvement with Miners’ Promise unless withdrawn by you in writing.
